# Bid Detail Data

> How to use Bid Detail data without relying on a static field list.

The Bid Detail view is your lane-level working grid for pricing decisions. It brings lane facts, historical context, and pricing outputs into one place.

<Info>
  Columns in Bid Detail evolve regularly. This page focuses on stable data categories and decision-critical fields instead of a complete column inventory.

## Data sections in Bid Detail

Use the grid as a set of sections:

* **Trailer type**
* **Route type**
* **Origin and destination information**
* **Volume**
* **Award data**
* **Miles and tolls**: customer miles, practical miles, and tolls
* **Rate entry with adjustments**: enter rates and review adjustment effects
* **Modeled OR** `FreightMath Clients`
* **Last-round rates** *(available in multi-round bids)*
* **Historical load data** *(FreightMath clients only)*
* **Market rates** *(CarrierFirst)*
* **Bid operations details**

## Decision-critical fields to watch

Even as columns change, these fields are consistently important:

* **Origin / Destination** to confirm lane identity.
* **Trailer type / Route type** to confirm lane fit.
* **Customer miles vs practical miles (plus tolls)** to validate rate math.
* **Volume** to prioritize impact.
* **Rate entry with adjustments** to confirm final pricing outputs.
* **Flags or errors** to catch issues before submission.
