Summary

Company Settings is where you configure BidRight once for your whole company. The values you set here become the starting point for every team, every customer, and every lane your company prices. Customer records and bids can override most of these settings. Company Settings decides what they start from.

What you can manage

Company Settings has four sections:

User Management

Add people to BidRight, grant admin access, and deactivate users when they leave.

Team Management

Organize your company into teams by region, department, or business unit. Each team holds its own bids and customers.

Pricing Defaults

Set your FSC pegs, pay terms, and Auto Rate guardrails. These apply to all teams.

Integrations

Connect BidRight to outside data sources.

Who can change these settings

Company Settings is admin-only. Admin is a single Admin Access checkbox on the user record, and there are no other permission levels. Users who have it carry an Admin badge next to their name on the User Management list.

How to get there

From anywhere in BidRight, click your name at the bottom of the left menu panel, then choose Company Settings. Once you are in, switch between sections using User Management, Team Management, Pricing Defaults, and Integrations in the left column.

Where these settings show up

Company Settings are the defaults, not the final word. Here is how they flow downstream:
  • Pricing defaults feed Auto Rate. Auto Rate reads your Market Temperature and your rate guardrails to decide how aggressive it can be on a lane. See Auto Rate AI.
  • FSC pegs feed customer contracts. Your company peg is what BidRight compares each customer’s fuel program against to calculate the per-mile adjustment on their lanes. See Fuel surcharge (FSC).
  • Teams separate bids and customers. Each team is its own workspace, and its customers and bids do not carry over to other teams. Every user can work in every team.
  • Users feed assignments. Every bidding customer needs an owner for Sales, Pricing, Operations, and Review. Those people have to exist as users first. See How to add a bidding customer.
Changing a company default does not retroactively reprice bids that are already rated. Existing bids keep the values they were rated with.

When to revisit these settings

  • Your fuel program changes. Update your FSC pegs and active peg so customer adjustments stay accurate.
  • The freight market turns. Update Market Temperature so Auto Rate reflects the market you are actually bidding into.
  • Your cost structure changes. Revisit your Auto Rate guardrails so the floor and ceiling still match reality.
  • Someone joins or leaves. Add or deactivate the user and reassign anything they own.
  • You reorganize. Add or restructure teams so bids and customers land with the right group.
